As this project moves from concept, to design, to construction, to operation, we will continue to use this page to post project updates.
Both the project design and the very extensive permitting processes are coming to a conclusion to support going out for bid in the first quarter of 2006. Due to the unique design of the breakwater required to protect the inner harbor from weather and boat produced waves, it will take twelve to 18 months of off-site construction to complete. Once the breakwater is in place, construction on the floats will begin. Based on this timeline, the best estimate for accepting our first boat is early 2008.
