About the marina

Welcome to Newport Shipyard. We've got an exciting event schedule in 2006 and have been busy accepting reservations for the season since late 2005. The rates are posted below and we welcome the opportunity to serve you in 2006.

Many of our visitors stay with us longer than just a day or two, so we have introduced reduced rates for longer stays. We hope you find this helpful.

Events begin with the yachts queuing up for the 100th Newport to Bermuda Race in April and May. The Shipyard will prove to be an ideal site for preparations for the Newport to Bermuda Race as it was for the transatlantic race in 2005.

Location

Newport is New England’s maritime center with a history rich in America’s Cup and yachting tradition. The many mansions on the beach attest to a time and place of grandeur and exclusivity that marked an era of opulence that can still be seen and felt today. For over 300 years the fabled deep water harbor has hosted yachts and ships from around the world, offering the finest services and provisioning for global transients. Today Newport is home to a many fine waterfront restaurants and pubs steeped in that maritime tradition.
