Charleston harbor, on Coos Bay is the heart of this community. It's home port to a busy commercial fishing fleet, which supplies a variety of local seafood processors. It's also the site of a bustling marina serving charter boat operators, sports fishermen, crabbers and recreational boaters.

Location

Charleston is just eight miles from either Coos Bay or North Bend, barely a 15 minute drive west from the Oregon Coast Highway, U.S. 101. If you're headed north or south on 101, look for the signs; Charleston Harbor/Ocean Beaches. You'll quickly discover Charleston truly is Oregon's Bay Area Playground, and your gateway to outstanding ocean beaches, stunning scenery and great recreation.
