Welcome to Teach's Lair Marina, is a full service marina. Whether you're interested in offshore, inshore or sound fishing, wreck diving or dockage for your boat, our helpful and friendly staff is ready to assist you.

Facilities

Experience the thrill of catching tuna, dolphin, wahoo, blue marlin, white marlin, sailfish or even flounder, trout, bluefish or drum. Let our charter fleet provide you with a memorable fishing experience. After you get back to the dock with your catch, let our experienced fish cleaners prepare your fish for your trip home, or simply clean them for your dinner. Our new full service Ship's Store offers a world class tackle shop "The Roost Bait & Tackle", clothing & gift shop, convenience store and 24-hour fuel. Teach's Island Bar & Grill is open for business as well, located just back from our Ship's store.

Others

If the name sounds familiar it's because it is. Steve and Dave Hissey used to own and run a very well known and loved tackle shop here in Hatteras. The "Pelican's Roost" is no more due to the effects of the hurricane Isabel. We established a professional relationship with them during the fall of 2004 when they agreed to manage our tackle section, which we appropriately named: "The Roost Bait & Tackle".

Location

Teach's Lair is located at the south end of Hatteras Village, the closest point to the Gulf Stream north of Florida.
