About the marina

WELCOME TO WITZ'S MARINA & CAMPGROUND!

We are located 16 miles northeast of L'Anse, Michigan on beautiful Huron Bay in the small community of Skanee. Our family owned, rustic outdoors, campground and marina has been in existence for over 30 years. We offer 50 campsites, a large marina and a camper convenience store.

Facilities

From our facility, you can enjoy fine Lake Superior fishing from the abundant fisheries near Stannard Rock Lighthouse, the Huron Islands and Keweenaw Bay. You can also drop a line into one of our nearby rivers or streams such as the Huron, Silver, Slate and Ravine rivers. You may just want to take an evening boat ride and view the serene wilderness beauty of Huron Bay or checkout a few of our area attractions.

Others

We have two special days set aside at the marina and campground. On the 4th of July, the marina is host to a community picnic with a small parade through the campground. On labor Day, the marina's "Bridge Walk" is held with another gathering of family, friends and neighbors for a community picnic.

Location

From US-41 (the only main highway that passes thru L'Anse), turn onto Broad St. and follow it to the 4 way stop (red blinking light) in downtown L'Anse.

At the 4 way stop (red blinking light), turn right onto Main St. which will turn into the Skanee Road and drive approximately 16 miles until you come to the community of Skanee.
