Every year in August, On Saturdays, the Haven Acres Bar and Grill on the San Joaquin River will host the 20th annual Alligator Races -- an event in which both adults and children race against each other on huge inflatable reptiles to gain top bragging rights.

The Haven Acres Marina is located at 1691 Frewert Road in Lathrop. To get there from Manteca, take Louise Avenue to Manthey Road and head North until you come to Frewert. After taking a left onto Frewert, the road will take you right into the park.
