18 miles south of San Francisco Bay entrance in the north part of Half Moon Bay, East of Pillar Point. Is necessary approaching Pillar Point Harbor because of foul ground off the entrance. Rocks and reefs marked by kelp and lighted buoys extend SE for over 1 mile from Pillar Point.
