Berkeley Marina

About the marina

The Marina's 52 acres of water and 975 berths can accommodate some 975 crafts from 16' to 110'. Surge and rough water are eliminated by an entrance breakwater.

Facilities

Attractive restaurants offer a splendid variety of dining facilities. On the north shore is located a launching ramp, an area for car and boat trailer storage, and a marine fueling facility. On the south are a free 3000' public fishing pier -- no license required -- and Charter Boats for the sports people. Inside the craft the berths have storage lockers, water, electrical outlets, night lighting, parking, restrooms and showers, and locked gates.

Others

A parking lot is located across the street from the Shorebird Park, in which the Nature Center is seated. Parking is free. The Lot for Adventure Playground is next to the playground. More parking lots can be found in Berkeley Marina. Parking is never a problem except for special events such as the Bay Festival and 4th of July. On the occasions of special events, we will post parking information on this Web site in advance. Please visit this page to keep yourself updated.

Location

Berkeley Marina Experience Program/ Shorebird Park Nature Center is located at 160 University Avenue of the City of Berkeley, on the south side of the Berkeley Marina area.
