About the marina

Knudson Cove Marina, located 15 miles north of downtown Ketchikan, nestles into some of the best fishing grounds in Alaska. Folks come to the Marina for the day to fuel up their boats, rent skiffs, arrange for guided charter fishing, enjoy a snack from the tackle shop, or just relax on the deck! Other visitors stay several days in one of the Marina's waterfront units where they can sit on their balconies and watch the sun set after barbecuing some of their day's catch.

Facilities

Beginning in mid-June, chums and cohos begin to show up along with the kings. By July you can angle for as many as four species of salmon or you can choose to bottom fish for halibut or cod. Knudson Cove Marina is the place to call to make your reservation for fishing!

Our well-stocked tackle shop has all the gear you might want to hook one of these kingly beauties:

* Our 14 ft. Lund skiffs are equipped with 15 hp Yamahas.

* Our 16 ft. Lund skiffs are equipped with 4-stroke 25 hp Yamaha or Honda.

We include too Life Jackets, Seat cushions, Oars, Gaff, Bait bucket, Fish Box, Net and Cutting Board.

Others

We can arrange charters for you or you can do it all yourself! We rent skiffs, tackle and rods. Our dock has a fish cleaning station and we provide shelf space in our walk-in freezer for Condo guests. A commercial vacuum packer is also on site for guests to use and we sell 50lb wet-lock boxes for transporting your fish home. If you want your fish to be processed and sent home via Federal Express, Gateway Smokehouse provides custom processing services and will pick up from our dock.

Knudson Cove Marina is located in Ketchikan, Alaska on some of the finest fishing grounds in Southeast Alaska. Just minutes from the dock you can fish for 30 - 50 pound King Salmon that will give you the fight of your life.
